S.R.Sisodia
Sandeepsingh R. Sisodia is a Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture, India, and Founding Principal of the Architecture, Design and Personal Growth firm “Contesting Architecture.” He is highly active in Architecture & Design education, presently serving as the Associate Executive Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Planning (FADP) at Ganpat University (GUNI), as well as teaching as an Associate Professor at GUNI & Institute of Architecture (IOA). Sandeepsingh has over fifteen years of experience in the practice and teaching of Architecture and Design and has had his work presented at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia (Venice Architecture Biennale) 2012 under the mentorship of internationally acclaimed architects Peter Eisenman, Jeffrey Kipnis, Jose Oubrerie and Stephen Turk. Sandeepsingh is affiliated with various national and international organisations, including the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), the IBBI-recognized RVO-ESMA, and formerly with the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
- Some of his notable accomplishments in academics and research:
- Instrumental in connecting Ganpat University with the European Union through the successful application for and procurement of a PIC, and Project Manager for GUNI as
part of an EU co-funded €400,000 (₹3.52 crores) inter-university joint research project. - Initiated the FADP transdisciplinary lecture series “प्रबोधन” (enlightenment), as well as the FADP Committee for Academic and Research Excellence (FADP-CARE)
- Initiated GUNI-Art and the Welcome Week concept (आरोहण) for skill development
- Served as Institute Nodal Officer (INO) and Assistant INO, respectively for two AICTE-funded projects, overseeing 32 students on the conservation of Heritage water
bodies, with grants of ₹2,00,000 each – the Rani-ki-Vav project where he served as INO was selected as one of the Top 25 proposals pan India by AICTE, MoHUA ,MoE, GoI - ACPD, UK certified Digital Leader emphasizing innovative teaching methods Research.

Sandeep has also made multiple academic presentations and spoken as an expert on various platforms, including institutional expert sessions conducted under the G20 banner during India’s presidency of the G20, as well as under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He has written about and conducted presentations on various topics, including Architectural Diagrams, the Thesis in Architecture and design, and critical and Post-critical Architecture, and his postgraduate Exit review focused on the transcension of place and Time in architecture.
Beyond teaching, practice and research, Sandeep Singh has conducted multiple academic and public exhibitions and installations, a few noteworthy ones of which are:
- A Field of Dreams, part of the Piranesi Variations exhibits at the Arsenale, in the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012.
Exhibition and curating the Works of acclaimed Indian architect Yashwant Mistry at the Science Centre, Surat, India. - Project exhibit at the Godman Guild in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
- Public exhibit of curated students’ work at various HEIs in India.
