  1. The candidates seeking admission in the first year of degree programme leading to Bachelor of Design (B.Design) shall have passed the HSC examination (10+2) or any other recognised examination considered equivalent by Ganpat University with minimum 45% aggregate mark.

         — OR — 

  1. The candidates holding 10+3 diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education or any other board/university considered equivalent by Ganpat  University with minimum 45% aggregate marks will also be eligible.

The selection process of admission to the Bachelor of Design programme consists of the following stages:
Entrance examination:
UCEED 2021 – Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design conducted by IIT Bombay.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (B.Design) programmes at Ganpat University are done through the shared results of the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) score conducted by IIT Bombay, the organizing institute of the UCEED exam.

Students who passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2020 or appearing in 2021, in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce or Arts and Humanities) are eligible to appear for UCEED 2021. For more details, please visit the website: http://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/index.html

OR

GUNI-DAT 2021– Design Aptitude Test conducted by Faculty of Architecture Design & Planning, Ganpat University

Admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at Ganpat University is done through the Design Aptitude Entrance Test conducted by the Faculty of Architecture Design & Planning, Ganpat University for the students who have not appeared in UCEED examination or those who would like to have an option of considering GUNI-DAT score for final selection.

 Personal Interview:

The applicants shortlisted by the GUNI-FADP Admissions Committee, on the basis of performance in the UCEED/GUNI-DAT will be invited for a Personal Interview.

Personal Interview of candidates will evaluate general awareness, aptitude and interests, quality of responses to social and cultural issues and candidates’ ability to articulate their thoughts through creative work done by them.

(This could include drawings, paintings, photographs, films/videos made by the student, craft work, project work, models, written work such as articles, stories, essays, poems, etc. This may be presented to the interview panel. Students should limit the portfolio to a maximum of 10 of their works in total.)

* Additionally, the applicant shall present the necessary original documents for verification. (Two sets of photocopies of original documents to be presented.)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: CIWGC-SEA/PIO/OCI/FN:

The international students can apply under one of the following two categories:

  • Category 1: Foreign nationals having non-Indian passports (FN), OR foreign students having a non-Indian passport and also having the OCI or PIO card (OCI/PIO) can apply under OCI/PIO/FN supernumerary category that has 10% seats reserved.
  • Category 2: Students whose parents are currently working in Gulf countries or South-East Asia can apply under CIWGC-SEA supernumerary category that has 5% seats reserved. The students must hold Indian passports and should have passed the qualifying exams either from India or outside of India.

  • NRI STUDENTS:

NRI students who have passed their qualifying examination from outside India will be exempted from giving the entrance test. Their evaluation for merit will be based on the minimum qualifying marks as per Nirma University rules of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent exam of the country of residence, Skype interview, two letters of recommendation from senior school teachers and a portfolio shared through e-mail.

Additional documents to be submitted by NRI/NRI sponsored category applicants:

  1. Proof of residence of sponsor (applicable to NRI sponsored applicant)
  2. Passport of self and his/her mother and / or father (applicable to NRI applicant)
  3. Affidavit from sponsoring person (applicable to NRI sponsored only)
  4. Equivalence Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (if an applicant has passed a qualifying examination from outside India)
  5. Any other relevant certificate
  1. Successful candidates will be made an offer of provisional admission to join the Faculty of Architecture Design & Planning at Ganpat University, subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates will be informed through e-mails provided in the online application form at every stage of admission.
  2. Applicants are therefore advised to check the updates on the website and their respective e-mail IDs at regular intervals.
