MAYUR PRAJAPATI
Prof. (Ar.) Mayur Prajapati possesses more than 14 years of rich experience in Architectural Design, Urban Planning and Construction Administration, including teaching, administration and research. He is a member of the Board of Studies(BoS), Member of Faculty Committee (FC), Member of Governing Council (GC), of Architecture at the university level. He is also an invited member of the HNG University Board of Studies(BoS). He is an external Jury member at various Institute and University for the evaluation of the Architecture and Planning discipline.
Before joining academics, he was associated with internationally reputed USA based multi-national architecture firm: Lessard Design and Lessard International, Virginia, Washington DC, USA and worked from its USA/India Office for many large scale mixed-use projects in USA, China, Middle-east as an architectural designer, Job Captain and Project Manager. Internationally he has worked on more than 40 Projects – Designing & Construction Administration of large scale Mixed Used residential projects as well commercial buildings.
He has very rich exposure to associating with many world-class international architecture and construction firms as well. As a part of his graduation requirement, he got initial training at Vastu-Shilp Consultants, Ahmedabad ( SANGATH – Padma Bhushan Ar. B. V. Doshi). After graduation, worked for HCP Design and Project Management, Ahmedabad (Padma Shri Ar. Bimal Patel). He is having rich experience in BIM Technology and worked with some of the largest firms in the world as a BIM service partner including Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM) World’s largest architecture firm and AECOM – One of the Largest construction company.
He is a Bachelor of Architecture from SCET, VNSGU – Surat with First Class and Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) from HNGU – Patan with ‘A’ Grade – University Topper.
At Ganpat University, Prof.Prajapati has been active in contributing to the development of new teaching pedagogies and all-around development of students. He teaches various architecture courses and is especially interested in Design and Building Construction.
His area of interests is Multi-family housing, Building material and advanced construction techniques, Urban Planning techniques, Infrastructure management, Sustainable Development and Smart cities.
He is an author of a book on Urban planning “Urban Planning and Smart Cities in India”
