AVIRAT- ANNUAL DEPARTMENT FEST-2024
AVIRAT, the much-anticipated annual Architecture department event at FADP, unfolded over 23rd and 24th October, 2024. The event, aptly named “AVIRAT,” derived from the Sanskrit word signifying “continuous” or “uninterrupted,” aimed to foster a seamless flow of knowledge and creativity within the architectural community.
The event commenced with a stimulating panel discussion, “The Role of Entrepreneurship, Management, and Skill-Based Learning in Architecture and Design Education.” This insightful session brought together industry experts and academics, sparking lively debates and offering students valuable perspectives on navigating the evolving landscape of architectural practice. Following this, attendees were privileged to hear from renowned architects: Nirav Hirpara, whose lecture explored his innovative design methodologies; Jyoti Gill, who shared her expertise on entrepreneurship in architecture ; and Jitendra Meghani, who delved into the intricacies of traditional architectural techniques.
Day two transitioned from theoretical discourse to practical application. Students enthusiastically participated in hands-on workshops, mastering the art of Lino cup printing and exploring the nuanced techniques of Coffee painting. These workshops provided a welcome break from academic routines, allowing students to express their creativity in tangible forms.
As the sun set, the atmosphere transformed into a celebration of culture and music. The Cultural Night showcased the diverse talents of the student body, featuring performances ranging from traditional dances to contemporary musical acts. The energy reached its peak with a thrilling Rock show, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
